Jennifer Jones is an environmental lawyer with her own practice in St.Thomas, Virgin Islands. Her practice encompasses a wide range of land use and natural resources matters, including planning, zoning, environmental impact assessment, coastal wetlands and endangered species matters, as well as coastal zone development, with an emphasis on sustainable development.
She represents clients before federal and local environmental agencies, including US EPA, US Army Corps of Engineers, the Virgin Islands Coastal Zone Management Commission, the Board of Land Use Appeals and numerous other local agencies. Jennifer has diverse private and public sector legal experience. She was previously an associate at the law firm of Stryker, Duensing, Casner and Dollison. She also served as Legal Counsel for the Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) Division of Environmental Protection. Most recently, Jennifer served as Legal Counsel to DPNR’s Division of Coastal Zone Management. She holds a law degree from DePaul University, School of Law (J.D., 1996) and is admitted to the Illinois State Bar as well as the Virgin Islands Bar Association.
